What were you doing 10 years ago?

I was stilled married, I was miserable, short of money & unqualified. Although not everything was doom & gloom. The girlies were 4 & 2 years old & they were such fun. Neither of them were at school & our days were fun.

What were you doing 1 year ago?

This time last year we had our garden transformed from a Dane wrecked mess . . . .

To our "external living area!" . . . .

It's hard to believe it's the same space but we now spend hours out there, weather permitting!

I could name 5 songs I know "nearly" all the words to but there's usually a "la-la-la" in there somewhere!

1. Hand in my notice at work & volunteer my skills else where,
2. Buy a home abroad (I need some sun!),

4. Set up a Great Dane Rescue Home
5. Make my friends & family happy.

1. Like Kai I'm a smoker but I'm working on that one!
2. Spend to much, goes without saying really I'm a woman!
3. I leave wet towels on the bedroom floor which drives Andy MAD,
4. I stay up too late leaving myself tired
5. I hoard junk just in case I might ever need it.

1. Spending time with my family,
2. Cooking for other people, especially new recipes,
3. I can now add gardening to this list which is something I never thought I'd say!

5. Having breakfast in bed (but it doesn't happen often enough).

Well, Andy was definitely "agitated" this week waiting for his new BBQ to arrive & certainly felt the heat when it did (which is just as well as the weather was freezing!!). . . .

7 Random Things (Plus 1)

Amazing Gracie has Tagged us for an "8 Random Things About Me" meme. A while back Mz Jackson tagged us on our Home Page for a "7 Random Things" so I'm re-posting Plus 1 more fact . . . .

1. I have a skin graft on my right wrist & left buttock cheek as a result of a car accident when I was 18 years old (No picture for this one!)

2. I love to be tickled & will often pay the girlies to tickle my arm. The story behind this is that my sister is 10 years older than me & used to do this to send me off to sleep when I was young. Still works to this day.

3. I'm addicted to Terry's Chocolate Oranges & hate having to share them.

4. I'm not a huge fan of TV competitions but I love The Eurovision Song Contest.

5. I'm useless at guessing games.

6. I hate washing dirty dishes.

7. I can be sadistic & will stir a cup of hot coffee then try to tap the spoon on the back of the hand of some unsuspecting person (only those over the age of 18 & usually Andy but he's getting wise to this one!).

PLUS 1:

8. Although I'm petrified of hights I did a Bungee Jump at Taupo in New Zealand in 2001. This was my Christmas present from Andy's Dad! It was nice to travel half way around the world for your partner's family to pay for the pleasure of terrifying you! This was an amazing rush & something I'll never forget or do again (ever!).

Hmmm, If I had to guess I'd say not very popular. Being unsure I searched it & came up with a ranking of 637 out of 270,000 recorded surnames in the UK! Therefore a I'll score it as a "1".

It would have to be "Mrs Slokam" in "Are You Being Served" as she reminds me of someone I know, but who is the question???? (Wink!. & check out that blue rinse!!!

Tonight is a blue moon! What is something that you believe only happens “once in a blue moon.”

I don't believe anything is restricted to only ever happening "once" whether it's a blue moon or not. But I do remember my Gran using the phrase to entice & encourage me to try new things.

We've been tagged by Jams. What we had to do was:

Ok, the year was 1988 & the month was January. The number 1 hit of the week was "George Harrison" - Got My Mind Set On You

I don't remember this being number 1, but there again I can't argue what I believe was number one as I really don't remember! What I do remember is it snowed for my birthday. So there I was with a number of friends, all trying to look cool, tottering around town from bar to bar in high heeled shoes/boots trying to look cool whilst keeping our balance. An art form I could carry off well in those days.

Later that year I got engaged (far too young & against the better judgement of Pops, but did I listen? No!). Three days after I ended up in hospital after being a passenger in a rather nasty car accident. My now ex-husband was horrified as he had been the driver of the car & was uninjured (even though the accident itself was not his fault). I remember him buying me this track whilst I was recovering after my second operation . . . .

This weeks manic Monday Theme is RED. Wikipedia states that: "In human color psychology, red is associated with energy and blood, and emotions that stir the blood, including anger, passion, and love". So, following that theme . . . . . . . .

This is one of my favourite songs . . . . . .

This is my favourite Red wine. I have been known to paint the town RED after a few glasses & it's also been known to lead to the ocassional "passionate" moments (wink!)

But RED also symbolise the sign to "STOP?"

What I can't understand is why some people don't STOP drink driving???????????

Yeah, we've arrived at our destination at last. This is out new Meme's & Tag Page. If you are a regular visitor to our HOME PAGE you'll be aware that we have been participants in the Wordless Wednesday Meme since 7th February, 07, & more recently joined the ranks of Manic Monday Minions on 21st may, 07.

As we also plan to join in with Friday's Feast I was aware that these Meme's were going to over power our usual posts, therefore, we've created this ickle haven just for Meme posts & the occassional Tag (please feel free to leave a Tag Notice at any time on the side bar Guest Book). Until then . . . .
